Turnstile (then, Latino Agency) worked with River Rock Casino from 2004 through 2010. In 2004 Turnstile was hired to target the Hispanic market in Sonoma County, then 30% Hispanic, to increase penetration of the entire Bay Area and Sonoma County gaming market. In addition to creating Hispanic events such as the first annual Health Fair in the community, Turnstile worked with their general market agency to help develop promotional events at the Casino throughout the year. These events had to resonate and translate with both the general and Latino markets. Our participation in marketing efforts resulted in their overall revenue increasing over 42% from 2004 to 2005. River Rock Casino felt a direct impact from these promotions and as a result Turnstile was asked to develop monthly Hispanic promotions. In 2006 and 2007 Turnstile was there to assist River Rock Casino with their general market campaigns as well as their media planning and buying during transition periods with their A-O-R. In 2008, Turnstile was awarded the general market account and was also charged with developing extensive Asian marketing programs that aligned with the general market plan. As a result, River Rock Casino enjoyed robust and in culture advertising that resulted in increases across the cultural map of their player’s database. Turnstile was also responsible for developing the award winning ‘Where Real People Really Win’ campaign which was executed across all media platforms including radio, television, online, transit and outdoor.

Turnstile went to work with Twin Pine Casino in 2011 to plan and manage their media. With Turnstile’s inside track in the off line media world, we were able to create efficiencies and unique promotions that showcased this special property tucked away in the northeast corner of the Bay Area’s Wine Country. Turnstile also re designed their website with proper SEO practices and an easy to use CMS system. In 2012, Turnstile was asked to rebrand the casino. Our creative team went to work and came up with ‘The Only Place to Play and Stay in Wine Country’. We then re planned their media budget to include carefully selected, news oriented sponsorships that showcased the casino to the San Francisco public as the perfect addition to their Wine Country Weekend Getaway. As a result, Twin Pine Casino & Hotel is enjoying their 5th straight month of increases in coin-in and overall revenue.

Sunray Park was the only game in town for 10 years until a brand new, state of the art casino encroached on their pristine market area. Turnstile was hired to rebrand the casino and highlight Sunray’s unique attributes: sports, live horse racing and other entertainment. Turnstile developed an aggressive outdoor campaign along with print and radio. The lost share to the competition was mitigated by upgraded artwork with branding elements and a strong headline driven campaign which engendered loyalty and increased attendance to their sports and entertainment events.
